Found another jackpot!!!!

I found another jackpot of goodies to paint on :)

Funny story about the bellows, I was at the other end of the store when Mitch calls me and says "Look what I got Marie you need to thank this man". So I go over to thank him. This guy was going to buy the bellows but Mitch told him that I was a painter and that I would be very happy if I could get them :D It's a good thing I brought him with me LOL or I would of never of gotten the bellows. I found 3 IKEA mirrors cheaper than what IKEA sells them for :)

I've been thrifting way too much lately I think I need to attend a meeting LOL.
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

Country Gathering

I painted this country gathering of Raggedy Annie with her rag doll, a saltbox house, a quilt and a chicken on a cookie sheet. I then drilled two holes on top and put some homepun to hang. The little rag doll that Raggedy Annie is holding does have strands of hair on the right but you can hardly see them because of the blue dress. I didn't want you to think I forgot to put hair all around her head :)

Primitive Sock Dryer/Stretcher

This is a wooden primitive sock dryer/stretcher that I cut out and painted which could be found hanging in someone's home in the olden days. You would slip woolen socks over this form for them to retain their shape and dry without shrinking. Everyone should have one hanging in their country/primitive home as part of their decor and to remind them of the good "olde days".

Live Well ♥Laugh Often ♥Love Much

When I saw these prints yesterday at Walmart for only $9.96 for all 3 I had to get them. I like this saying and I think they look great on my new kitchen wall color :)

I'm addicted to scented wax melts and melt warmers or also known as burners. My favorite fragrances are vanilla and cinnabun. Look at them all LOL. I also have another black one like the one pictured below. I had to buy two they were on sale for $1.00 at Jysk. I have them all over my house and I want more LOL. I also buy bags of 100 tealights :) Who else likes these?

Antiques this way

I enjoy painting signs. I cut out and painted this sign with the word Antiques. Like I've said many times I don't use stencils when I paint my signs. I use my paint brush  then I  painted a hand with a finger pointing to where you can find antiques. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather when I can go to garage sales and flea markets to find goodies I can paint on.

Before and after pics of my kitchen wall

I repainted my kitchen walls because the yellow I had before was too pale so I painted the walls a darker yellow. What do you think?  The color looks like a dark maple sugar tan color. The actual color is called Arizona. The three signs in the picture are signs that I cut out and painted with my paint brush, no stencils were used.
