Motorcycle accident ~ not for the faint at heart

Won't be riding for awhile. We had a bike accident on Saturday. The throttle got stuck on high on the bike and we fell off and rolled on the asphalt for about 150 feet. I thought I would never stop rolling. Spent part of the day at the hospital I look like a mummy all wrapped up. I have road burn/rash on one hand, both arms, several spots on my back, both knees and left butt cheek. Bob has road rash on arms and shoulders, one knee and broken ankle. Won't be riding without proper riding gear again.

  8. Lesson learned: Always wear your protective gears while riding to avoid having serious injuries. Anyway, I hope you did file a personal injury claim, for you and your husband to have a smooth healing process and avoid budget problems for your medical bills.

  9. Ouch! You're still fortunate though because your head wasn't injured. Either way, I hope you recovered from this quickly. You may require several treatments, so I hope whoever caused the accidents shouldered your expenses. Take care the next time you drive.

  10. It seems that you and your husband went through a lot from this motorcycle accident. How long did it take for you to be able to ride the bike again? It's just normal to stop riding for a while because you have that fear within you. But you learned your lessons, at least. It's really dangerous to ride the bike without the safety gear.
