MY BIG OOPS!!! Make sure to read labels

I painted this sign which is 4 feet long by 1 foot wide for a customer who will put this in her hairdressing salon.
I grabbed my can of clear spray to give it a few coats of varnish and start panicking when I see this

I grabbed grey spray paint instead of clear, both cans are blue. Can you imagine my horror when I saw grey on the sign I had just finished painting?  Has this ever happened to you? I recommend to everyone to read labels I know I will. I did manage to fix the sign and here it is

  1. Oooooooops.......yes I've done that.......and my response is not becoming. Glad you could fix it...that's why you are the painting Queen!
Hope today is a better day!

  2. I haven't done that but have used an Aleenes Eggshell Crackle product that turned milky white on my huge clock face and ruined it completely. Nothing but a full sanding and starting over from basecoat will fix it. The company of course had no idea why.

  3. Oh no! I am glad it worked out lol! I have a hair salon too and I love that saying and it is soooo true! She is going to love it!

  4. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's done this. Sorry to hear you ruin your clock Lori. Thanks Jill I'm glad I was able to fix it because I didn't want to start over such a big sign.

I always have time to read your comments.
