Prim items I've built

This box is great to hold rolled up towels

Here's a small riser bench to add height.

Hang your favorite primitive or country items on these peg shelves.

This trencher is filled with rosehips and cinnamon stars, cinnamon sticks and grubby tea lite. You could also put pot pourri or rag balls the possibilities are endless

Old signs I've painted in the past

I like to take new pieces of wood and turn them into old signs. Every sign has been painted with a paint brush I do not use stencils.  I have the first  three signs hanging in my kitchen.

This is an antiques sign that I've painted

Here's a different coffee sign

Here's a sign for a laundry room

The Great Coonie Escape

Coonie is an indoor cat and never goes outside. Well yesterday Mitch got a call on his cell phone and had to got out on the porch for better reception. Apparently, Coonie waited close to the door for him to come back in and make his great escape without us knowing it. We watched a bit of t.v. then it was bedtime and Coonie always sleeps with me but he was nowhere to be found. We looked all over the house, then I figured he had to have escaped outside. So I head out with my flashlight and spot him under the enclosed porch, there's a space where he got in. Well there he is all spooked out and growling and I can't get him to come out. I ask Mitch to please  help me get him out. So Mitch rips out part of the lattice that's underneath to try to capture him but Coonie had another plan so he runs up on the porch and we try to coax him to come to us but he kept growling so Mitch approaches him and tries to grab him by the scruff of his neck but then Coonie bit his arm and took off like a bat out of hell. We spent an hour outside trying to find him but it was no use he wasn't coming out of his hiding place. Mitch told me he'd come back on his own and I told him that's if he doesn't get beaten up my Scrappy Do a big tom cat that lives outside and  that I've been feeding for 4 years now. Coonie has been declawed and doesn't meow very loud. I was also worried about him not coming back because my Dad has been feeding some cats also and they have all disappeared even one that he's been feeding for almost 10 years. We think they might of come across a Fisher. So I head back into the house without Coonie and I tell Mitch I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight because I'm too worried. I decide to go another last time around the yard with my flashlight and I'm turning the corner to go back inside when I spot the little bugger so I approach him slowly and talk to him and he's not spooked like he was and I am finally able to grab him and put him in the house and hit the hay for the night. I told Mitch you have to be very careful when you go outside because Coonie is very quick and you don't see him escape. He did the same thing last year and it was very hard to catch him. Well now he's safe and sound and I'm glad.

Here's Scrappy Do the big tom cat. His face is always scratched up from all the fights he gets into.

Hot off the scrollsaw

I cut out these two bread boards  on my scrollsaw then painted them.
I like to make new wood look old. I hope you enjoy looking at these.

First one is a willow tree and sheep my favorite thing to paint. I also
like to paint saltbox houses but didn't paint one this time.

Then I painted a barrel full of apples with a crow perched on top.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

It was cooooold this morning

I woke up this morning and the house was only 60 degrees because we have a wood stove outside that heats up my house, my parent's house and my dad's garage but it's not on yet because it's missing a gasket but my dad picked one up today so hopefully I'll have heat soon if we can figure out why it's still not throwing off heat.  In the meantime since I was so cold and the house is still chilly I thought I'd show you some snowmen I painted awhile ago. I have to go pick up Mitch from work now then we'll eat dinner and bundle up on the couch with blankets and watch the season premieres of some funny shows that will be on tonight

Penguin and Snowmen

Here are some creations I've worked on recently. Ornaments for your tree and a 6 inch clothespin to hold your favorite recipes or messages.

I forgot to put the hanger on the snowman in the sleigh before taking the picture.

My Fur Babies

Here are my fur babies

Coonie likes to tease Mogie and jumps on her and bites her neck and she hates it. He's quite the devil, he will lie on his back so you can pet his stomach but beware to those who do because he likes to bite. He also chases me around the house when I scold him for teasing Mogie and tries to bite my legs. Mogie is more quiet and she loves to eat LOL. Funny Bunny is quite the character, he likes to take his metal bowl in his mouth and throw it in the air and then it bangs on the ceramic floor. He also likes to play with toys.

Work I've done in the past

I thought you'd like to see some of the work that I have painted in the past.

Here's a gingerbread block.

A skate

Some signs

An old oil can

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my creations.

The Quad Mobile

The last long weekend of September I went to North Bay and on our way there we stopped at Mitch's friend's house and he had this weird vehicle in his yard and I wanted a picture of it. Mitch said I had to get into it for him to take a picture. I didn't have my camera and I really wanted my Dad to see this quad mobile. I had to hang onto the steering wheel and put my foot on the tire to climb into it. All four wheels articulate, it's a weird contraption LOL. Only 399 were built and Mitch's friend Kevin who's in the background owns two of them. He races them in the mud and it can also go in the water. It has a 8 HP motor in it.

Don't you just hate waiting for people

The plumber was suppose to change my bathroom faucet
yesterday  but he never showed up. He calls me at 7:30
last night to tell me he'd be here at 9 AM. At 10 AM  I
call him and there was no answer so I left a message.
It is now 1:30 PM and he still hasn't showed up. I'm tired
of waiting for him so I'm going to do my groceries now.
You should not make people wait if you're not planning on
showing  up.

Pictures of my shop

Here are a few pictures of my shop

Wish upon a star

Here's three snowmen gazing up.
It's painted on a 5x7 canvas.

Welcome to my blog and very first post

I will be posting pictures of my work. I love to paint on anything
that doesn't move LOL. I cut all the wood myself and I also like to pain
t on one of a kind recycled items and  make them into something new.
All my lettering is done with a brush I don't use stencils. I hope you
will enjoy looking at my creations.
