Becca the chicken gourd

Let me introduce you to Becca she is fabricated out of a gourd I purchased awhile back. If you have been following my blog you will know that I was very excited to find some gourds at the thrift store of all places LOL. I cut out her beak, comb and tail out of wood then painted and glued  everything to create Becca the chicken gourd. She is wearing her favorite egg necklace around her neck and she is proudly sitting in her box which I have painted and filled with raffia for a cozy nest. I then created a label on my computer, grubbied it and glued it on the box.

  3. That is simply adorable! I tried using some clay once to add the features to a gourd..not a pretty sight at all...:) Love yours with the wood!
