Do you remember the prim summer/winter milk can I painted using

Well her sister liked it so much that she bought a wooden mail box and had her husband spray paint it the same color as the milk can her sister brought me and asked me to paint the summer scene on the bottom, and on  top she wanted a cluster of stars on the left and a mound of snow with a sheep and pine tree on the right. She said there was no rush that she only needed it for the spring of 2011 but I finished it already =) I just need to varnish it now.



Laurel leaf angel penny rug

I  cut this penny rug out of 1/4" wood and  then painted a couple of laurel leaf angels and a prim scene with sheep, saltbox house and I added some stars. I drilled a couple of holes, inserted a piece of rusty wire for easy hanging and added a piece of red homespun. This is a Painting with Friends design.

Custom Order House Ornie

I have a couple that comes every year to my shop and order something special  that happened during the year for their daughter. Last year  I had to paint a Volkswagon van and this year she bought a new house so they wanted me to paint a house ornie and brought me the plans of the house which isn't finished yet but they told me what color everything would be. I even added a Christmas wreath with berries on the door. The ornie isn't big it measures 2.5" wide by 5" long so it was very hard to paint so much detail on such a small surface. I hope they will like it! Now I'm all caught up with my orders =)

Snowman Skate with pinwheel

I painted this skate yesterday while I was at my shop. I used a pattern by Terrye French and added the little tree with the  star on top. I then laced it with some red homespun fabric and added some Snow-Tex on the blade.

Snowman & Santa Wine Bottles

Here are the five wine bottles I told you I had to paint for a customer who wants to give them as Christmas gifts. I'm way ahead of the deadline which was December 21st =) Now I just need to varnish them and they'll be done.

Wine bottles waiting to be painted

A customer came to my shop on Tuesday and told me she was going to clean me out of painted wine bottles. Well she needed 10 and I only had 5 so now I need to paint 5 more with santas and snowmen on them. They will be Christmas gifts and she needs them for December 21st. So you'll know what I'll be busy painting for the next little while. I had to dig in my stash to find some, then removed the labels now today I will be prepping them. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pineapple bowls anyone?

I was having a bad morning, I woke up with a headache then I went to Wal-mart and locked the keys in my truck =(  This is the very first time I have done that and Marie was not happy lol. It's a good thing my parents are my neighbors because I called my Dad and asked him to bring  the spare key to Wal-Mart. My cell phone battery was almost dead, can it get any worse? Shortly after here comes Dad to the rescue =) I wasn't in the mood to go to the thrift store but then told myself I might find something good and I'm glad I dropped in because here's what I found. I can't pass up pineapple bowls especially not 3 of them !!! My day just got better =)
